CUT PIPES
Cut pipes – Connect Rigid Plastic Pipes

  • • Make cuts as straight as possible to ensure a proper fit.
    • For increased accuracy on straight cuts, brace the pipe so that it cannot shift as you cut it.

    PREP PIPES FOR CONNECTING
    Prep pipes for connecting – Connect Rigid Plastic Pipes
    • Deburr each pipe by using a deburring tool or utility knife to remove burrs or shavings.
    • Dry-fit pipes and fittings, making sure the piping run is sized correctly and does not bend or twist.

    CEMENT PIPES
    Cement pipes – Connect Rigid Plastic Pipes
    • For ABS pipes, remove any ink, oil or dirt with chemical pipe cleaner and allow to dry. Cement ABS pipes by coating the surface with ABS cement, pushing the connectors together quickly with a twist until properly seated and holding the connected pipes for 30 seconds to ensure proper connection.
    • Cementing CPVC and PVC pipes requires the application of a primer before applying the cement to ensure proper adhesion.
    • Wipe away any excess cement with a rag.
